Members Present: Kirk Coombs, Councilmember Chuck Earl, Mayor Dottie Garn, Recorder Shauna Larson, Treasurer Shane Marsh, Councilmember Matt Petersen, Councilmember Tiffinee Pierson, Councilmember Fielding Town Corporation Town Council Meeting January 7, 2021

1. Opening Ceremony and introduction of guests Mayor Earl called the January 7, 2021, Town Council Meeting held in the Fielding Town Hall, 150 South 100 West, Fielding, Utah, to order at 7:00 p.m.

2. Approval of Agenda Kirk Coombs made a motion to approve the agenda. Matt Petersen seconded the motion. Kirk Coombs – aye, Chuck Earl – aye, Shane Marsh – aye, Matt Petersen – aye, Tiffinee Pierson – aye. Motion approved.

3. Approval of Minutes – November 5, 2020 Kirk Coombs made a motion to approve the minutes. Matt Petersen seconded the motion. Kirk Coombs – aye, Chuck Earl – aye, Shane Marsh – aye, Matt Petersen – aye, Tiffinee Pierson – aye. Motion approved.

4. Department Reports
   

   1. Animal Control Todd said there have been a few calls with dogs chasing chickens and other dogs running loose. No other major items were discussed.

   2. Building & Maintenance Zina gave the income to Shauna. The fridge door handle in the kitchen was replaced and a few cabinet doors had new hinges added. She said there have been a few no-shows for rentals. No other major items were discussed.

   3. Grounds & Maintenance Skyler was not in attendance and no major items were discussed.

   4. Fire Department Todd gave the bills to Dottie and the income to Shauna. There have been 8 fire calls, 13 medical calls and 9 transports. The Fire Department dinner will be on January 16th. He said they had elections within the department and he will remain as Chief and to Assistants still need to be voted on.

   5. Sheriff Department No one was present representing the sheriff’s department.

   1. Approval of monthly expenditures as indicated on the check register

   3. Approval of financial statement

      1. Treasurer Shauna had nothing to report.

      2. Clerk Dottie reminded everyone this is a voting year; the Mayor and two Council seats – Matt and Tiffini – are up for election.

1. Council Reports Tiffinee asked about Christmas decorations, throughout the town but nothing was decided. Matt spoke about tree trimming. The man/drain hole access also needs cleaning. The HAM radio has been checked and works, they need to set a time to try it out.

1. Public Comments A citizen asked about the street sign at 140 W 100 N; Shane will take care of that. Also, asked why there is a stop sign at that three-way and it was to slow the school buses down.
